Ajay Upadhyay is a name to reckon with in the Indian media. It stands for over 25 years of experience across print & television. He started his media career as an Assistant Editor with Dainik Aaj & then served as the Coordinating Editor – Sunday Observer. Thereafter, he worked with leading print dailies like Dainik Jagran, Navbharat and as Group Editor of Hindustan. The Mumbai edition of Navbharat as well as Jagran Group’s I-Next was launched under his supervision. In the television media he worked for Aajtak as a special correspondent and later as an Executive Producer. He was also part of the founding team of national news & current affairs channel from India – Channel 7 (Now IBN7). Thereafter he went onto build and establish Jagran Institute of Management & Mass Communication – a premier institute in India. He is one of the few people in the industry who have an in-depth understanding on all facets of media and a keen insight of the emerging trends.
